GREAT Event! I had a great time this weekend. I ran two of my personal bests DURING the race this weekend, so I was pretty dang happy with the little Toyota that could. I have never gotten to be on Pole yet, so that was a curve ball I didn't expect. I had a GREAT battle with Harold and it was the most challenging race I have run yet. I was very happy with 2nd in a very tough class today!
Also special thanks to Bob for letting me crash in the RV so we could be well rested (dang that cold was vicious!).

Race Steward Report.
Two 13's were issued yesterday, so we did have some tight racing going on.
Some changes that will be taking place. If someone breaks out of a class for two races in a season. They will be moved up to the next class.
We had an issue yesterday with who was in what class. In the future. If you are not in the class you want to be in before the drivers meeting, you will not be allowed to change to another class after that point. Exceptions will be the manditory move of those who have broken out for two races in a season. I will have a new set of rules typed up today, and we will vote on them for next season. Thanks for the fun weekend guys, it had been way too long. Carver

I was very happy with 2nd in a very tough class today! Yup.....very close racing for sure. Incrementally improved my best lap several times with my best coming in the middle of the feature, down to low 1.25's now and the next step is to be consistently in the mid-1.25's. The slippery conditions were a great equalizer Sunday as far as power goes. Also special thanks to Bob for letting me crash in the RV so we could be well rested (dang that cold was vicious!). Patrick Harris Roger that too.....! One of my goals for this year is to land a nice C-class. I usually hang in Phil's coach in bad weather when he's there but when he's not, it'd sure be nice to have a place of my own to get out of the elements.....and serve double duty as the tow mule. Great weekend....! T

Have to see what happens when the weather gets back to normal. I imagine that the cold weather payed a big role in some of the break outs this weekend. Henry Carter was 1.3 seconds faster than red bracket break out on one occasion. I sure hate to see any cars leave bracket and narrow down the field size. On the other hand....it sure is a bummer when you are tucked in all nicely within your own battle with an equal car and 3-4 cars with 1.22 second potential come barging through..... T

Hope I'm not spreading rumors, but I heard there was a spec miata issue and a bracket issue.
I think it would be nice if 13's were posted for learning examples. Hey, the SCCA posts them.

Hope I'm not spreading rumors, but I heard there was a spec miata issue and a bracket issue. Patrick Pretty sure that's correct. Just wanted to say too, some very heady driving at the front of the bracket races. Each race had a spin right at the head of the field on the starts and it was some heads up driving by all involved, especially as slippery as it was with cold tires, to make avoiding adjustments and remain in control. If I hadn't remembered to heat the brakes up on the warm up lap, I could have been in a real jam (you'll see when Eon post video) at the green of the heat race. All in all, considering how cold it was......it was a great idea to pace the warm up laps to begin the races at a decent clip and the full lap before the green was much appreciated. Short of the Charity weekend last year, mostly because it was my first race, this was my favorite time on track. Killer fun with Chris bearing down on me in the 007 for several laps until he nipped me at T4 and going door to door to T5. The closing laps of the feature with an eye on a mirror full of Troy's CRX gaining ground on me at T4-6 and me gaining back just enough distance through T8-9 to keep him from getting close enough to take a shot. Had a freakin' blast......! T

Clint, Thanks for the pictures! Awesome job with them and I am very happy to see another CCM PDC front row. Down with the evil empire! (of course the evil empire did secure the top position and about 4 positions after that at the finish ) Patrick

also congrats to eon for holding his own in the heat race and having all those veterans in his mirrors. i know how you were feeling that entire race. here are a few pics. Very cool of you to come out Clint, also to stop by and say hello. My first order of business should have been to give the shout out to Eon for sure. He was third in practice, third qualy, fourth in the heat and sixth in the feature. The heat race where there was the big spin, allowed him and Lane to get away from the pack since me and Eon were the second row. John spun from P2 and I had to lock up the brakes and come to a standstill from P4 to avoid when Lane and Eon found daylight to the left. Anyway, like I said, Lane and Eon broke away from the pack but Eon stayed glued to Lane for a few laps from the start for second place until a couple of the faster break-out cars caught up and relegated him to 4th. I don't know where the heck he is today, must be too busy to post but he has some cool videos to post from his new Christmas present Contour camera.... T

Just for clarification what constitutes a race? Is it qualifying, heat, feature or the race date? In other words we had people bust out in qualifying and heat would that mean they would have to move up?

In other words we had people bust out in qualifying and heat would that mean they would have to move up? Any time you are on track and the timer is running. That means that if you break out in Qualifying or any of the races for two race days, you will be moved up. We put the two race day stipulation on there because we all know from time to time the stars align and we all run faster than normal. But for those who are doing it every time out. It is time for a gentle push into the big boy club. Thanks, Carver
