Time to finish that turbo T ! Or build that 968 motor the Dr. has and put it in. Turbo is going to be my off season thing. I just have to quit taking other stuff to do and make time for it. It's 95% there and just needs to be assembled and dyno'd. The few things that I still don't have yet are already bought and paid for by labor that one of my customers owes.....I have just been holding back on pulling the trigger on a few things until I'm ready to focus 100% back on the car. Anybody on the forum that has visited me knows what kind of work load I have over there and heck....that's after my normal daytime job... Anyway....the 968 engine.....is that a hint from you.....? The culmination of parts I have to assemble a complete engine isn't as clear cut as a whole donor. I have a good head but the big bore block I have is from a 1989 2.7L 8V engine (which works) and rods can be (and should) substituted with the 944 forged rods. The piston skirts have light scratches and need to be re-coated with the SwainTech PC9. Both long stroke cranks I have need weld work on the same journal and machine work to bring them back to "usable". So yeah.....while according to Phil, it's a complete engine that just needs to be assembled and "thrown back in the car"..... , it's far from that. Really, I don't want go that route except for maybe running with Andy's group because anywhere but CGB (PCA), the car is thrown into GT3 with the light weight turbo cars like my project and a 968 engined car at whatever weight aint got a snowball's chance in hell of staying in sight of one of those. Take that as sort of a warning/tip if you were contemplating that route with Peter's engine. While the car was quick and fun at CGB, Phil was dead last running by himself in GT at every PCA race he had the car with that configuration. 944S 2.5 16V is a cool place to be in PCA and SPEC 944 and I know you have that option too but that would ruin equality as far as running with the 8V NA group at CGB as far as us all running on equal terms.....and the car would surely break out of red bracket with +50hp which moves you to GT3 locally. I know the driver would be capable but I don't see anything short of an S2 3.0 liter 4 cylinder running competitively there and again, as far as PCA is concerned, you'd have a b@stard car hat would fall into GT3 with the turbo sharks. Hmm, well I'm in more trouble than I even thought then because I swear I think Eon passed Rebstock on power on lap one of the heat. T

Hey...., don't tell Andy, Matt and Bob but Rebstock has a few aero trinkets on his car too.... ;D In rides the cavalry to tell you that aero plays -0- part in the speeds around CGB in, 3 2 1...... T

So Lane...I didn't see an answer...what's the project? Will it be red bracket or GT for '10-'11? Sounds like the pizze delivery cars are making a run at us Sunday, come out and support us OTD style

Talent's got a lot more to do with it than HP in Rebstock's case.

T At the speeds you ran in the rain, his aero did squat. He just plain out-drove everyone. Maybe you should Google his name. Put ARRC behind it. Become enlightened.
