No question: drive the Miata. It is what you want to learn at this point. Mixing another car into your training might cause some problems right now.

Looking forward to a fun day tomorrow. My wife learned how to prep a race car today and performed most of the work herself. That's right, she jacked up the car, changed the tires, torqued them, adjusted tire pressure, checked all of the fluids and helped load and secure the car on the trailer. She really earned the right to drive the car on track tomorrow. I'll be pit crewing for her tomorrow, while she drives.
See ya trackside!

Based upon the big grin and the excited discussion from my wife on the drive home, it looks like I may need a bigger trailer... oh and another race car.
Thanks for the turbo offer G-man, but I still have another 944 N/A in the wings that could become a track car...
Seriously though, I thought today was a great success. I know my wife had a blast in the racecar, and can't wait for the next solo trial day. I also know that Ed had a great time in his Dodge Charger.
This was a great idea and I want to thank the powers that be for putting this event on.

Glad to see you are getting some support from the boss.

Great to hear that another "female" is catching the fever! I am SO sorry I missed the solo event!!! I had plans to be there, but unfortunately, have been in pain all weekend with an abscessed tooth. See you guys next time!

Walt, I am glad you and your "A" driver had a good time. She got better every time out there. Out of 45 participants with an average of 3 runs per car, we only had 5 spins and 3 offs. That is below the average of a lapping day with the bonus of only having 2 cars on the track .9 of a mile away from each other. Thanks for the show of support. Wilken

Just wanted to say thanks to Chris and crew for putting on a great event. Any worries I had about safety were resolved with the structure of the event. It ran smoothly and had a good turn out.
One of our own picked up some time, but it sure wasn't me. The only thing I learned is that I was super rusty. I hope to see the rest of you guys in February.

The Turbo would be for you; that way no matter how fast she gets, she won't be able to beat you

T Maybe, as long long as she doesn't run over any more kart air filters on the track.... Although, she IS the car sponsor! Decals will be on the car next season.

I LIKE your thinking. Bidding started at $8K minus $500 for buffing and touching uo, minus another $500 to install a dryer and get the A/C working. How does $7K sound?!? No charge for delivery ;D
