I might as well get it started. Beautiful weather, track was in fine shape, the competition was fierce, at least in brackets and what I saw of the Miata races. But where the hell are all the racers?!? Chris, control and the corner workers are doing a great job out there, and I can't think of many better ways to spend a Sunday once a month than racing with all of you guys. But where is everyone else?!? For the 30 or so cars out there, it was a blast. And I hope the rest read this and get off their duffs for the November race...the more the merrier I've got to give Rebstock credit, he took on all comers in the feature and held them off. He did have a little bobble in 2-3 early on that allowed me to pass Dennis Paul, but he passed me back a few laps later, after that he was flawless...fun to watch Hopefully I'll get something posted on Vimeo this week if I don't get bogged down at work

I'll be back to go racing when we get our car finished. I would come hang out, but I just had my first kid and I'm a little wrapped up hanging out with him.
We'll definitely be out there when our control arm prototypes start testing in 3 weeks...

Well, it aint like I didn't already know that it's better to be driving instead of helping people work on their cars but it happens every time... One race only lay off for me due to a tire delivery malfunction but I'll definitely be suited up next round. Off to Hallett Thursday a.m. for October-Fast PCA round with Eon, Doc, Hamza and Henry Carter......hopefully stomp some MG Region fear into a few Oakie Cimarron members... ;D Anyways....fun weekend at CGB, good close racing and the bracket cars are definitely THERE, fair GT showing too....., it's the Miatas and Open wheelers that need to get with the program. G-man....., I'm out of Doc's hand -me-down tires to burn away, so I'll be on fresh rubber come November so you might want to break out the less than 8 heat cycle reserves.... ;D T

I'm trying to make a few road trips to do some SCCA and/or NASA events at some of the tracks I've always wanted to race on, so I'm cutting back on GCRS for this season.

He has big feet so I'm assuming he will pedal fast.

Terry, When ya'll get to Hallett beware of the SP1 Pink Pig 944! He's a local and can fly around the track. He;'s normaly giving the boxster's hell around there. Plus he's legal! They held him in paddock for over and hour scoping his engine trying to figure out how he can be that fast but never found anything.

I see a "salmon" color SP1 signed up must be him?

Yeah, that's him. I raced him at Road Atlanta in my SP2. Probably the only reason I beat him is that he crashed into the tire wall between 6&7 in practice and spent most of the time before the sprint looking for parts and fixing the damage. He would have caught me in the enduro if it had gone one more lap; I was on rains and he was on RA 1's, and the rain stopped about 45 minutes into the race. He's fast, but as far as I could tell, not reckless. Very nice guy, knows just about everything there is to know about 944's. And if you have the stamina, he'll tell all about it

They held him in paddock for over and hour scoping his engine trying to figure out how he can be that fast but never found anything. Hey, I think I know the car....used to be part of Dave Dericola's stable and I think it's currently for sale. I had talked to them about coming down with some 944 Cup series cars and racing within our normally scheduled event to give us more 944s to race against. He's supposedly passing it by the new SE 944 Cup SE region chairman. They would score it amongst the 944 Cup SE championship as a round for points but would otherwise be racing just like the rest of us. I never mentioned it up until now because I hadn't heard back from them yet and I figure as far as race track organizers are concerned....the more the merrier and also a little track recognition. Dericola is the 944 Cup president and the guy that started it all. Anyways....back to the Pink Pig......, the tech guys just don't know what to look for.... ;D I watched the ones at Sebring one year doing some head thickness tests and a few other things trying to bust an S2 and they were clueless.... They don't have equipment to tell if you have the +2 & 3mm 944 2.7L valves... T

I had fun too! MR2 is working better than ever. To turn a 19.8 in this heat was a testament to the parts and work I have put on the car in the past couple of weeks. big thanks to Jeff for loaning me some wheels/tires for the race - if paid dividends! Bad news is after I was able to check out on everyone and the car was going great I lost all power and it got noisy. After checking gauges and realizing it was a problem with the turbo and I had no smoke I decided to stay in the race for the points. I pulled the exhaust heatshields and intercooler piping and found that my exhaust gasket between the manifold and turbo was BLOWN OUT! Yeah well MR2's ain't fast without the hairdrier. I went from 21's to 41's I'll take 3rd though! Patrick
