Thanks T! So, I have you all to thank for my wet racing confidence? It felt great and I had lots of fun passing on the wet track. My in-car race dance didn't pan out, as I tried to make it rain some more when I noticed the track was drying out. :-) Now to get over my dry track hangups.... Walt "Mudder" Roddy That might have read slightly wrong..... , what I meant was, all you needed was that nudge and the way we were going on about the new treads, maybe you felt like it was show time. I told you, I could tell you were going to be aggressive, because while I was all geared up trying not to break the rear loose, I could hear your engine singing near red line... ;D Those Hoosier and BFGs (Hamza, Gary and Eon) came in when the track line dried for a few minutes and that was you demise. Well.....that and the spin one lap from the end.... ;D T

Bump for the video.....and the credits... ;D There ya go Walt, rain driving at it's finest, off like a rocket. John in Carver's car almost made a big mess, Would have been nice if I at least had a fender in that video... ;D Not bad, an 8V 944 with a 60 hp deficit right on the S2.... T

Looks like rain is still the great equilizer. Good job to all the racers. Yup, sure helped me out....., not in finishing position but I sure was a whole lot closer to the pack second go-around. I guess the sliding didn't really bother me that much since I didn't have any grip in the dry either... ;D T

Dang...looks like John made a mess of the field considering his starting position! I think he started 6th. Dennis Paul didn't make grid and started late, David Cannon is listed for the heat but LaStrappes raced his car in the first race, therefore, DC started back of the pack re. the newly approved rule. Can't blame Eon for taking it a little easy, especially with the potential for a flashback....wet conditions and the same blue car taking up two car widths.... ;D John made a good start though, Gary had his demon start of the day so his karma was expired from the 4 positions he jumped in the heat race when Mike balked a gear change... To Shane -
I know Shane posts here and I was wondering what happened at the Miata race front....?
Every lap down the straight, I was watching the Miatas come around T14 in my mirror (staggered start combined race) and I saw two red cars in close proximity battling it out.
I even took a glance over towards T12 as I was entering the straight one lap and they were really close so I paid close attention that particular lap in my rear view but only one of the two cars made it through.
Anybody know what happened...?
Even the lead Miata fell way back.

Everyone was taking it pretty easy on the start, but John came flying around and did an awesome job hanging on to that thing in the early conditions! With the out of town race coming up in 3 weeks I wasn't so keen on pushing quite that hard in the wet....especially with my last wet start experience It was a lot of fun though, trying to find a way around Mike with Gary close behind giving me a hard time too.

My video from the Bracket/Spec Miata Feature is now posted on Vimeo. I didn't have the "centrifigal-panning" mode set on mine like Eon's camera. Nice driving by everyone to keep it incident free. vimeo.com/groups/29396/videos/15380855
