i haven't raced with a couple of guys being mentioned, but the guys in red group i take note of used to be scott f., and now its lane. very good driving, makes no driving errors, pressure doesn't effect them, and fair racing every time. Those are key things there Clint....., it doesn't get you anywhere to pop in three consecutive 1.24's and then spin off on the fourth lap. Me and Lane were just talking about this.... ;D T 1 01:26.0 2.153 2 01:25.8 1.897 3 01:25.4 1.469 4 01:25.1 1.248 5 01:24.4 0.55 6 01:23.9 Best lap 7 01:24.5 0.618 8 01:24.4 0.531 9 01:25.8 1.897 10 01:24.2 0.358 11 01:24.0 0.089 12 01:24.2 0.292 13 01:25.1 1.177 Something like this?

Carver reminds me a lot of Senna, especially in the cheeks.

This is the race of the BAD wreck...but as you can see I was pretty consistent before and after that. I highlited the laps that were skewed from the red flag / caution. This results in a a TOTAL deviation (not std deviation) of .589 sec from my fastest green lap to the slowest...for the whole race.

T Sounds like we need to have a rental car runoff. And we can have a "top gear" style lap time board in the driver's lounge for the CGB "stars in a reasonably priced car" challenge.

Y'all behave and just consider the OP who started the thread....? Lane walked up to the aquarium with no fish food and all the guppies swam to the top anyway.... ;D And Patrick, dude, let's be realistic. Didn't you do a Miata race at CGB....? Weren't you 2-3 seconds a lap slower than Kerry Brown.....? In a run group that has identical engines and a spec tire....? It seems to me, correct me if I'm wrong.... ;D, that to hold 'The best driver in Louisiana' title, you'd first have to own the 'Best Driver in Lafayette' title......? Maybe, the sectioned zone of your city....? Podge doesn't happen to live on your street does he....? Just sayin'....., T

What's not realistic about my lap times? What's not realistic about renting a track car and taking turns running laps to actually get solid data? Yes, it was my first competitive road race event ever in my life - 2009 GBRS #1. I RAN IN THE YELLOW BRACKET. BRENT MOSING Ran in SM and my name was improperly listed there. Yes, I was approx 2 sec behind fastest Spec miata driver of the day, but we were on OLD cycled out spec tires (told you about this already but you won't listen). We picked from a pile to find a set that weren't flat spotted. And yes this spec car has gone totally underwater in a flood...so I guess it's the number one "SPEC" performer still? And to note, I was faster than Brent that weekend and while not by much, it was in a car I had never driven before. (Thanks again for letting me drive it Brent). I was also only 1.3 sec off of Hamza's fastest lap - and he drives the best car ever, right? Here's some video to keep you amused. www.streetfire.net/video/spec-miata-npr-2008-gbrs-race-video_699831.htmIt's not that you are wrong (which is usually the case), it's the fact that you try to disregard any solid data and then find data that is WAY out of context. I posted solid data from one of my recent races...and I am quite proud of that (oh and the race where I lapped the whole field on slicks in the rain). I'm not on here saying I'm the best. I didn't start the thread, I just posted some data - take that however you want. Until then, I'm just going to just keep racing and having fun going fast. Oh, and It's getting chilly in here, better put my "2010 GCRS GT2 Champion" jacket on. TBDIL PS - Shouldn't you be working on that there turbo 4 banger to come give me a run for my money?
