LOLZ....!
Well, not really funny considering what the outcome could have been....but that was a top notch save with one hand on the wheel at 4:40 into the video at T10....especially after just fending Mike off through 8 & 9.....!
Nature of the track....but it sure sucks that you were +1 second faster in qualy only to get blasted by 3 cars on the straight.

What a fun weekend even though some of the regular cars were MIA. If you were not there you really missed a good time.
Since the filed was small the feature on Sunday had GT, Bracket, and Spec Miata combined with gridding according to best time of the day. It made for a really fun race.
There was a drifting event scheduled after our last race and for the first time in a while there was touring laps during lunch. There must have been 30 cars taking the touring laps. Hope there will be some converts out of that group.

Thanks Bryon The camera is a contour HD, its about 2 years old now i think. They have a few newer models now that may be even clearer. The data comes from an Aim Solo. I put the data and the video together with a program called dashware. And yea I do have a video from the combined race that I will probably upload tonight.... wo t ve able to see much of you guys up front though haha

Thanks Bryon What he said... ;D That was either a b'day or Christmas present to Eon from me a couple years ago. Aint I a great dad.... ;D The Contour gets overshadowed by the Go-Pro media blitz. The Go-Pro has come a ways....probably as good as this 2 year old Contour HD though. Sure that Contour has made quality improvements too by now. T

Well..... Looks like the feature video is almost 4GB so I'll have to wait for my vimeo limit of 5gb to reset before I can post the video.

Hey my B-day is coming in Nov......... I have a Go Pro non HD and it has issues with glare when mounted on the main hoop if the sun is out, and just a little better when cloudy, works great outside of the car, but it is not the best view. It is non adjustable which doesn't help. The other camera I have does great in the heat races but it seems to get tired in the features cause it didn't record anything on Sunday again........Eon post away! Thanx

It is non adjustable which doesn't help. The other camera I have does great in the heat races but it seems to get tired in the features cause it didn't record anything on Sunday again........Eon post away! Thanx Yup, we probably have 2-3 of those stashed away in a box somewhere. Between the intermittent battery interupt problems and the cheezy quality, that's about the best place for 'em. I had a pretty killer race once in the old gray '44 and just knew I had a great video to watch.....screen was almost white-out and you could barely make out any shape except a few trees alongside the track. What contributes to the quality of the go-pro....or lack thereof, is the condition of your windshield. If it's blasted by sand, dirty, has some chips, like most track car screens do.....it has an affect on the way the camera adjusts to light changes through the glass. That's why they work great outside the car. Go back in time and hit up one of Eon's oldest vids....back when the thumbnail for the video shows no cage or him in a blue driver suit. That's a go-pro....same car, same mounting position etc,....then cue up a recent one and the difference is obvious. Sound is better on the Contour too. T

Nice job Monkey, close one to break out on 5 or 6, 1.24.100 if the transponder registered the same as the data. Fair but killer start to split Mike and Max and the run down on Rebstock was textbook. Watching the race from outside, I never would have thought Gareth could have stayed with you if you got into the clear after seeing the qualifying times comparison but now that I see the in-car of the struggle in the peanut section, it's no wonder he popped back into your rear view before T14 nearly every lap. All of those potential spin catches on the steering.....that looks like my view in Frankie to keep up just 1.26's and .27's. Those poor stock connecting rods.....they must be stretched a whole millimeter by now....., shoulda raised your compression by a full point.... ;D T

I think according to my laps that 24.1 was actually a 24.3, yeah the bfgs just do t work as well as the nto1s in the peanut.... my times were almost identical on both tires so I guess I was making up time on the rest of the track.
