I am very excited to see all the input. I for one am a very die hard street racer, as alot of you may know. Chris I like the idea of the race in May, it sounds great. But, one of my main goals was to win just one points season. I was very upset when we were taken out of the points. I very much so enjoyed running the top 8 shootout the day after thanksgiving and at least getting my top 10 hat every year if I failed to be #1. Now I have no reason to be there on black friday, which doesn't make my husband happy, since i will prob be shopping!!! LOL .... I appreciate all the effort from all the staff, but pls consider street to be back in points. Its exciting to be able to tell someone where you stand in points when they ask, instead of saying we are not allowed to run for points any longer!!! Thank you for your efforts.

Patricia, I had a discussion with a very experienced racer regarding the points for street. My point was if we began a points tally for street class today, would it be fair to the few who have made all of the prior races? I for one would love to see the local economy helped by the amount of commerce you are willing to generate on Black Friday, but I would not want to rock the street class cart. Way I see it, if I offend you, I just lost 25% of my street class. If we start a points tally now, how does that affect the few that have moved up? I am willing to tally the points and record them with the rest if we, the entire group can agree. No matter what, I want to make the May event happen, it will be fun and maybe we can gather a few more regular participants for you to beat up on.
Thanks as always for your support,
Chris

Chris, How about making the entry fee for street 30 or 40 dollars and start back with a payout and points system again. Both Porky and I agree on this. Thanks

That would work for me also $30 entry $15 buyback like the Motorcycles. Start points at first race that we run for money. And include Street in top 8 shootouts.

I hear what you all are saying and it sounds easy enough to do, however, we have had over 400 views to this discussion and input from less than 5. I sure would feel more comfortable making a decision with a wider variety of input. Points will not be an issue, raising fees might be something else. I appreciate your patience. Chris

Why cant it just be ran the way it was for the last 10 years!!!! I just dont understand why it was ever changed anyway. Maybe if we know why it was changed, which i have never known or maybe its none of my business, just saying maybe that would help with some of the input. Where did the problem come in with the Street class? WHY DID IT HAVE TO COME TO THIS? I love going to No Problem to race and socialize with others!!! I don't ever intend on getting rich racing .... just having fun!!!!!! Thanks Chris for all that you do!!!!!! Tricia

Well stated Tricia I agree. Street class as i ran it from 2002 was never a get rich class. And if I was lucky enough to win i never gripped about how much i won. It was simply a class for people to have fun,and race for a cheaper price. The reason i mentioned a higher fee was just so that management would consider restoring street to a money class for points. That being said management of No Problem will also not get rich with street but would provide a low buck option for racers.

Chris Since 2002 Street has always been included in King Of the Track races. How about including us again this year. The winner of King of the Track points in Street would runoff with the No Box winner. Also the top 2 in Box would runoff. That format would do nothing but increase intrest in all 3 classes.

Points towards King of the track will begin this coming Saturday at the Bracket Race on 5/26. Points will be earned the same as all other classes and posted as such. Top Point earner will receive a ticket to our King of the Track Shoot out event at the end of the year. Hope to see you all at the races!

Well, I think street needs to pay out some money if you want some street racers, every other class gets payouts,, so why not street it's not reason that NPR can't payout a winner and runner up in street.. I for one love NPR, I worked for some time, I raced, I party, I camp out, I even got drunk and ask my wife to married me on the finish line one night, and that's not all we done on the finish line.!!!! Please concerter a payout for the 2013 season . Thank you Potat

Chris and Ken The experiment of no points and no payout for Street in 2012 did not work well. Please consider points and payout for 2013. They payout can be adjusted by car count. There are some cars racing at our rival track only because of the change this year. Street will never be as big as No Box but we compare favorably to the 2 wheel class. Please announce the change soon if you plan on racing Street for points in 2013 year. Thanks Frank B.
