These are known as R6's a/k/a SM6 Hoosiers, but when you go to price them, CALL your dealer and ask the price of Spec Miata Hoosiers. The Spec Miata tires are supposed to sell for $166 ea. to racers, commencing Dec.1st, whereas the identical sized Hoosier racing tire sold to NON-Spec Miata racers goes up to $221 each. In other words, don't just ask for them by SIZE and Brand, but specify "Spec Miata Hoosiers" or "SM6" Hoosiers, not to be confused with the autocross tires, M6s.... I bought mine from Hoosier Tire WEST in Fresno, CA, for $712 including shipping UPS. Tonight I see that Frisby has them listed for $172 PLUS shipping, which adds about $18 each tire, totalling $190 per tire.
NO SHAVING these tires. No sales tax if ordered OUT of state. SHOP, SHOP, SHOP! Don't order online till you CALL AND ASK ']someone on the phone what their "Spec Miata Hoosier" sells for. Be sure and ask if they will pay for the shipping, as They just might! Bon Marche'. ;D
