I guess I should have clarified my response. Instead singling you out I really meant the racers who participated last year. Which btw I'm not in favor of because it would water down the purse for the field this year. I do like spinning the wheel to see who does win the, what 4th+ payout spot. It's cool...., I explained to Paul today for quite a while.....for Paul anyway. Returned a call because I had a missed one from him around lunch and I thought y'all were hanging around waiting to go eat and wanted to know WTF I was talking about... I think I had Paulo convinced by the time I had to let him go. After the topics we covered at lunches lately, I'd have thought that you of all peeps would know I aint lookin' for no free money... T

Hince my response to your statement Understood. It's all moot anyway, there's no word whether it even registered as a consideration. I just wanted to take the prize and donate it to Carver's favorite charity... ;D Are you interested this year in doing a stint...? I think i remember asking you last year but you passed....? We have already a 4 man team but one more wouldn't be a big deal and Tellarico can't be for 100% certain because he is on a 5 week case right now that may or may not end before the race. T

Since we do not have a clear set of rules, I thought I would post up the emailed rules from last years event for the new cars to use in their preparations.
Per Email, Alright guys and gals, this might get a little lengthy but its stuff you need to know. Rule number one: DON'T BE AN IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The rest of the info: All registered cars will be given on a first come first serve basis a covered garage stall. To make it fair, there will be no rig parking on either end of the spaces. All support vehicles, trailers etc will need to be parked across from the team’s designated stall. There will be a clearly marked turn around at or near NPR office and all pitting cars will need to go around it before returning to the racing surface. This will eliminate any pit stall advantage. Electricity will be on at all stalls and we are working on air as well. The outlets are 20 amp GFI's so if you plug in all of east baton rouge on one outlet, please don't bug track personnel if it keeps popping. All racecars must check with grid out before returning to the racing surface. Fueling will be allowed in front of your pitt stall, not under the roof and a drip pan of some sort must be used along with a fueler, and another team member holding a fire extinguisher ready at a seconds notice to react. All fueler members must be in full garb with shields down and all of the usual stuff. PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS A FACT, spillage of fuel will not be tolerated and penalties of more than jumping jacks will be handed out. As always, when fueling, motor must be off, driver out of the car and no one touching / working on the car. Also, Corner crew will be using the flags and lighting system during the daylight. At night, the lights will be the only system in use. Being this in the dark racing is new for us, any rescue / recovery operations in the dark will be done under full course caution. Corner stations will have there lights on and be displaying an illuminated sign with the letters SC on them. This will be to notify racers that there will be a pace car picking up the leader on the front straight and will turn pace laps until the situation is resolved. Yellow flag laps will count. Flair guns in the cars, although may come in handy, will not be allowed. Any wildlife that gives its life to us during this event will be cooked up at Sunday morning’s breakfast. Pit stops can be made at any time during the event and have no time restrictions, just remember to be careful and not get any pit infractions called against you, i.e., speeding, driver not properly belted in, helmet not strapped, window net up, that sort of stuff. We are there to have fun and participate in an event that has never been tried before in our region. Please be safe, act accordingly and have FUN! Lets make this an event to remember!
Chris W
Race is open to all classes of GCRS, SCCA, PCA and NASA cars with current log book. All Drivers must have a current valid racing license. Cars must have AMB transponders to be scored. There is a limited number of rental units available. Cars must have working head lights (2 min), tail lights and brake lights (factory or equivalent). You will not be allowed back on to the racing surface with any of these items missing. Cars must complete the Tech Inspection process before noon on Race day.
Hope to have a car that makes the entire race this year, See you guys track side. First to Register! Carver

Phone has been ringing off the hook, emails are being answered but as of now looks like just me and Carver. Hey Chris, since its just going to be the two of us, lets put a car wash at the end of the event on the table. Loosing team has to wash the winning teams car and load it on the trailer. What do you say?

What do you say? C'mon guys, where's the competition? As much fun as it will be to win and watch Mongo heckle Chris W. while he washes the 240, the thought of seeing Mr. Wilken in a wet t-shirt makes it not worth it. Register and save us all from the mental scars!
