Is that a 968 I see in the background of one of those pics? 4master Why....yes, by Jove, I think it is, and if I had to guess, it looks like a rare Adventurine Green. Don't sweat dude, all of the body pieces were painted off the car at my day job shop, except the inside floor tunnel and the roof and I did those with the car pushed forward off my lift, outside with the door shut on the deck area, an exhaust fan blowing air out and your car covered with a giant American flag. Not to mention, I'm using a Sharpe FX HVLP with 8psi at the cap with less over spray than a spray can. I'm able to use the shop here at work like I want, so I come in an hour early at 4-5am to keep up the progress on this new spec car. ![](http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/6999/20110608175815.jpg) I'm lost now but I think this next one should be the hood, ![](http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/1299/20110608175718.jpg) Other door (leaning on my other car), fenders and mirrors. ![](http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/3269/20110608175755.jpg) Email me some instructions on what to do with the car. I need a couple of days notice if you are coming with a trailer so I can clear a path through the back access to get the car outside. I think I can talk Eon into trailering it to Paul's to finish for me if that's your preference. Hey, don't forget to include whether you want to race with us again for the 400, I have a spot left designated for you as promised but also have two replacements waiting in the wings. T

Hee hee, and you thought I would explode.......? ;D Pardon me while I digress here Big C, Let me take a second or two and air something to make it perfectly clear right here on a public forum that people car reference later. a) If you own a Porsche and want me to work on it, be ready to leave said car indefinitely until I finish. I do things one way, as perfect as humanly possible. b) If by chance any car owner initiates contact through phone, email, text message, western union, smoke signals, morse code, Facebook, including through any member of my immediate family, any and all work stops on said car for a period left undefined at my discretion. c) Further still, I reserve the right to refuse to start, continue or finish ANY car if point "a" is not strictly adhered to. Furthermore, if part "b" is over stepped while I am still contemplating whether or not to cease all work on your car, it is hereby guaranteed that you need to make arrangements to have someone else work on it for you. d) If you have a 944 family track car and want a car capable of running with the top tier 8V normally aspirated cars or a street car you can leave indefinitely, I'm your man......rules a, b & c apply. I think I will stick with the Jap cars. And thanks for the input on the Trans rebuild. I finished it up today and now have a bullet proof spare ready for the next needed event.

LOLZ, no problem, Thought I'd leave space for you to amend for - e) "bringing your car for a cage with all the interior still in it" and f) "no extra charge for welding your tubes more than 180* around" Can you spare a Riverside Patty lunch....? Turbo-T (starving for groceries this week after dumping 200% over market for DOM tubing)

No worries - I wasn't even thinking about overspray or anything like that. Just had not seen the car in a while. I'm sending a PM shortly...

Mongo, you coming out to race some time? I think so. But I do think that Barber is on the menu first. After that should be that little issue I need to finish up last year for my only DNF ever. Did you find a seat in the 400 Reggie? I think I have some drivers if you want to drive that SM you keep bringing out. And T, it was this wonderful new phone that thought I should use Uncle Obama Slang for the HOP accross the river statement. Damn feds are in everything. Carver

Update Tired and bummed on the LR quarter and rocker so I moved to the right side. Front of the rocker was damaged under the original paint and a ton of bondo there also so I had to break out the stud welder again after all... ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) I guess the UTI graduate that worked on this thing prior was missing on dent pulling day.... ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) Anyways, never really got a shot before the repair......just got a new Samsung tab and probably didn't want to get hardener on it that day. Next pic is the repair of the rocker front already complete and the area necessary for the next step already primed. ![](http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/2922/20110613164556.jpg) Next one is the "chip guard" applied, factory stuff....but whether your car came with it or not, a nice addition if you are painting....really keeps the rock chips down, ![](http://img803.imageshack.us/img803/8960/20110613172720.jpg) 3M masking tape shows where the white stripe from our scheme will go. the interior will be white so I go ahead and do the jambs while I spray white on the rocker for no other reason than a base for the stripe, ![](http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/9841/20110613173007.jpg) Jamb, rocker and partial quarter, Alpine White ![](http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/818/20110613191128.jpg) Ashamed really but all that will remain white on this section of the outer body is the width of the masking tape shown earlier, bottom is Porsche black and the little wedge at the front of the rocker will be a custom bright yellow that my buddy Sean at NCS came up with, ![](http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/3861/20110615185143.jpg) ![](http://img806.imageshack.us/img806/393/20110615185207.jpg) Have to help a buddy tune an ECU in his 944T and tackle a couple of OT projects around the regular job this weekend so I guess updates will be slow.
