It was a very informative class and surprisingly there's alot of theoretic similarities to riding the bikes out there. Beings that I'm new to track riding on bikes I would have never thought I'd run the same lines and close to the same times in a car. It was a BLAST and a big thanks goes out to James, Harris, Chris and Kent.

As someone from the bike farm (never raced competitively, just fast curved road riding with people who did), one of the hardest things to come to grips with is that a reasonably powered car can lap very closely with a bike with way better power/weight ratios. Same principles about straight line braking apply, although trail braking in cars can pay big dividends, relying too much on the brakes after turn-in on a bike tends to stand the bike up and get you into a lot of trouble on the corner exit end. The big plus for me is....., a high speed track "off" isn't going to put me on crutches for work on Monday morning.  T |
