Reminder, SA 2000 helmets will no longer be accepted for use at the Circuit
Grand Bayou after October 1, 2010.
Seat belts manufactured before March 14th, 2006 will not be accepted
for use in our series this year
Registration Fees for the 2010 / 2011 Season will be as follows:
Purchase a Full Year Race Pass ( 7 races for the price of 6 ) Regular $900.00
Member $780.00

(closing will be the Thursday night before the event midnight)

Proposed Rule Changes for 2010 - 2011
PRC#1 Spec tire for all GCRS Classes except Formula

PRC#2 Two Driver, One Car Teams:
If there is a driver change any time during an event, the new driver must
start at the rear of the entire field regardless of prior qualifying or heat
race finish

PRC#3 Fire Suit Clarification
It will be acceptable under GCRS Rules to wear a 2 piece, 2 layer fire suit that meets or exceeds all other specifications set forth by the GCR of SCCA / NASA and PCA

PRC#4 Adding of Heat Races to GT classes ( must be a driver in class to vote )
GT Classes will now have a heat race scheduled for each of the 7 series events.
GT Classes will now be lined up for the feature by finishing order of the heat race.
Not Starting the Heat race will be considered a DNQ and will relegate a back of the field starting position in the Feature race

PRC#6 Modify the current penalty for Bracket Racing Breakout
Modify the current rule of a lap faster than the posted break out time
will be disallowed and not counted to:
Driver who breaks out one lap in a race will be penalized one lap and on the second offense in the same race will be disqualified from that event.

PRC# 7 Addition of an Endurance Race in the 2010 - 2011 Schedule
Eliminate the heat races in the GT, Bracket and SM classes to allow time
to run an all inclusive 90 min endurance race for the above mentioned
classes at the December 5th event. Standard 2 driver rules will apply with a mandatory 5 minute pit stop. ( single drivers must get completely out of car, touch his head with both hands and will be allowed to resume the completion of the pit stop )

PRC#8 Clarify Credential and Drivers meeting Attendance
Drivers must have a current GCRS license with them at the time they present their log books for signing at each GCRS event. Also, Drivers must attend the mandatory drivers meeting at the beginning of each GCRS event or face the penalty of not being able to qualify rendering him or her to the last position of the grid of the heat race.

PRC#9 Creation of Class Steward
Each Class will get together on their own and appoint a Class Steward. This person will be called in to meet with Race Chair and Race Steward regarding any schedule changes, event protocol, or impromptu race standards changes due to abnormal circumstances that may arise and will alert all members of his class to the changes.

PRC#10 Change the 13/13 gentleman's agreement to the following:
The findings brought to the competition committee will be reviewed and unless 1 of the offending parties takes full responsibility for the incident, the ruling by the committee will be final. Committee will be made up of Race Chair, Race Steward, and Class Steward Substitutions may be appointed by portion of above party that may want or need to remove themselves.
