So, did y'all manage to make it back to Jackson okay dispite the broken exhaust manifold bolts?

So, did y'all manage to make it back to Jackson okay dispite the broken exhaust manifold bolts? Yes, we made it back with no trouble at all. I wish I could say the repairs were going as smoothly. Likely due to the exhaust leak, half of the gasket between the turbo and the manifold was gone. And it seems a bit of it went through the turbo (on the exhaust side). It damaged the turbine wheel. A replacement wheel is $237 and and it would be a $410 rebuild, plus possibly the cost of other parts. We paid $600 for the turbo new, so as you can imagine we are not repairing it. A new turbo from Forced Performance is on the way, we'll also be getting a slight bump in power from all of it, so I guess it is all halfway worth it. Hoping to be back in 3 weeks at the Solo One event. I emailed and requested info regarding the rules (especially regarding the tech info) and have not received the info yet. If someone could post all the info or PM it to me that would be awesome. |

The pics look great. Sorry to hear about the car. Good luck with a speedy recovery. You wouldn't happen to have any pictures of the green mustang would you?

The car is all back together, I'm just working on getting it tuned with the upgraded turbo. I plan on being back down there on the 14th for the Solo One event. No pictures of the green mustang I'm afraid. I went through them and found one where you were front and center but it somehow ended up blurry. My buddy with the camera slipped up there. If you are there on the 14th we'll hopefully be taking more pics. |
