I don't have a lot of time this morning... no grandbayou forum at work so to keep it simple, I raced in my first NASA race this weekend at NOLA, despite the somewhat small turn out it was a lot of fun. I had a few battles with Wayne and Gerald. We had a lot of familiar faces around the paddock. I was able to get back by them to make it a Porsche 1,2,3 overall! Not a whole lot I could do to catch the Cups So here is the video vimeo.com/41681402

Clickable link - > vimeo.com/41681402Nice one Monk....for real, you did a great job all weekend. Learned the track right off the bat, stayed clean every session and tweaked the car along the whole two day event in the right direction. Class win and overall 3rd behind 2 Cup cars was the best possible result. Well deserved.....! T

T Thanks! but you know me, Ill feel better about a class win when there are more than 2 cars in my class. ;D It was a good weekend though the car felt good and i think we finally know how those hankoons work! A pretty valuable testing/racing weekend! It was pretty cool finishing 3rd behind only 2 cup cars though

What are your thoughts on the track out there? I liked it. its not quite as technical maybe as cgb but it is a very smooth and flowing track. the surface is very smooth and easy on tires from my experience. as far as facilities go i think it will rival any track that i have ever been to.

It's gonna be huge once it's finished, lot of different variety depending on how they want to set the track up too.

Yeah, I think there are 3 different configurations on the North track, a 1.88 mi, 2.75 mi, and 2.4 mi. The 2.4 Mile configuration is the one with the full 5000+ ft straight.

The track is smooth, the facilities second only to Barber (until complete), and the tires, windshields and paint jobs are apt to last much longer than at some other tracks. I want to race in Louisiana, so I'm hoping both tracks do well for a long time. See you at NOLA next month. Reggie
