For the past five years the Circuit Grand Bayou has put on the Charity race to beat all Charity Races and this year has plans to include an "all run" bracket race on Saturday night. The date will be Saturday April 14th and racers will be competing for a guaranteed purse of $3,600. 2K to the winner, 1k to the runner up and $300 to the semi's. All of the proceeds from the event, drivers entry fees, spectator and crew admissions, 1 or 2 round buy back funds and the driver favorite dash for the dial in 50/50 money will be donated directly to St Marys Residential Training School in Alexandria. Our event has contributed over 125K in donations over the past 5 years and is hoping with the help of our drag race community, we can add more. If you have any questions about the event or want to get information on how you can help, please feel free to contact Chris through the track website or e mail. Thank you in advance for your consideration

Less than three weeks till the Charity Challenge event and the details are getting the official roll out. Road course practice and racing will happen all three days with each day wrapping up with a specialty race that will be as much fun for the spectators as the racers themselves. Friday Night, the track will host a Special trophy race and a guarenteed $400/$200 money bracket class as a warm up for the big money race on Saturdaynight. There will be special event T Shirts on sale during the event and some of the proceeds from these sales will also go towards the final tally at the end of the weekend. On Saturday, weather permitting, for those who choose to will be able to buy a ride in a helicopter and soar over the speedway during one of the races. On Saturday night, there will be a cocktail party and silent auction in the suite area above the tower along with drink specials all night long in the REDLINE SPORTSBAR. This is sure to be a very special event and will be made even more memorable with your participation. All racers can register on line at www.clubregistration.net until Wednesday night, April 11 at midnight. After that, all entries will need to be handled at the gate the day of the event. ( see the clubregistration.net tutorial on the circuitgrandbayou.com page if this is a new concept for you.) As always, I thank you for your concideration and look forward to racing with you all, on the course and the strip! The race weekend schedule will be posted on the front page of the website this Friday. Chris
