Took a little longer than I expected, but let the trash talking begin. Ladies and Gentlemen, its race season and I for one have got the itch. So bad in fact that I am watching the forum with baited breath just to see what info Reggie is posting on his tire test results. I realize its late notice but the way my life is lately planning more than one or two days in advance has been fruitless, anyway, I will open the road course this Friday, September 23 from 12 - 4 , " on the house" to any licensed GCRS Racer who wants to come and shake the cob webs off. While they are there, they can get the 2011/12 tech and ICE forms taken car of. Lois wil be sending out the new forms this weekend to all registered CR.net addresses we have on file. Again, I apoligize for the late notice, but hopefully some of you can take advantage of the time. Chris

Turbo-T is one notch away from missing in action.....too busy to keep an eye on the forum siren right now. But Lane, yeah, I'll have to run the gray car. My engine for the new one is in a thousand pieces. No real news since I updated the thread about the car 2 months ago... Chris...., just for fun, how about we set the grid order for one race by having to qualify on X-Box 360 Forza....? That way, I don't have to make such an aggressive start just once, just to be blasted on the first lap straight.... ;D T

Slim, I enjpy starting from the back. Qualifying your way would darn near garuntee that! Red Bracket Killer makes its debut in the morning. I'll post after we shut down. No need to shake in your boots just yet.

BTW, when cars and drivers at the front of red bracket have potential to run 1.24.500 and faster.....where are you going to go with a Boxster that should be, and is, everywhere else around the country, 1-2 seconds a lap faster than a 944 or 240SX....? You'll have to be spot on consistent for 12-15 laps at the front of red bracket to not go faster than 1.24. The multiple break out rule is still in effect...? You setting a throttle stop at 90%.....? Very Simple T, Tires. The plan is to set it up to run on a yokohama street tire with a tread wear rating of 300 or greater. We have used these tires and ones like them on the school cars and found the key is to not overheat them making momentum and concistancy keys to a good run. . Hence you are correct, the sb should run 22's with good tennis shoes, but in order to keep it economical for renters, and my pocketbook, I am putting a nice pair of dress loafers on it and going for longevity and most of all fun. As I found out on Friday, its been too long since I've been in the car and am I soooooooooooooooo out of practice. Enjoyed hanging out with you guys, glad you got to run a bit. See you all next weekend and be on the lookout for the tech forms and ICE sheets coming out in e mails early this week

See you all next weekend and be on the lookout for the tech forms and ICE sheets coming out in e mails early this week On three hour break for the Saints game....., between normal day work shop and the Bat Cave. The free track test day was VERY valuable for us. We found out two things from testing the Charity impact repairs that we didn't know, well, three actually, 1) the inertia of the transmission weight bent the trans mount. 2) trans movement to the passenger side cracked the CV bearing race and we would have never found that out with the boot on.....race shattered on the first lap in anger. 3) most importantly, especially with us heading to Daytona and the costs related with hotel/entry/tires, etc......ONLY track time would have shined light on a broken baffle inside the tank which caused the engine to sputter and lose drive in T14. Made a tool today that fixes to the rocker and lines up a straight edge with the rear wheel for checking rear toe.....clumsy string setup not required... And yup...first time in the seat of my ex-944T turned 007 SP2 car....ashamed the front end was so shady...got Dave to take a couple of laps in Eon's car so he could feel what to aspire to... ;D Got one run in Eon's car too.....first impression of the C71s for me...very positive. Dont one of you boys owe me a car wash? Carver

It looks like Red Bracket is the dominating class at CGB! 2nd would be Spec Miata. Where's all the big cars?
