T B D D I L, better known as The Best Damn Driver In Louisiana. Its been a while since that drum has been beaten, and yes T this ones for you and I'm sure you will run with it. On Saturday, October 1st The Circuit Grand Bayou will host the first TBDDIL competition. It will be held in conjunction with the open lapping day before the second GCRS race. A series of 5 competitions will be held and scored for drivers to compete for the title and of course the most important thing, bragging rights as TBDDIL.
In the coming weeks, clues to the tasks at hand will be given as well as the scoring methods. This event will be fair to all as we will have two separate classes. Pro Class will be for drivers who currently hold a valid racing license and the Lapping Day Jocks, well that one speaks for itself. It should be a fun event and the content on the thread alone should be worth the price of admission.
Keep checking back.

Heh heh, nah, I'm gonna leave that one alone.
But I did talk to Patrick the other day via a few text messages.
Last I heard, he was building a Spec 911.
Anyways, sounds like a cool idea.

Why not a B-O-T-D-D-I-L? That is, Best Older Than Dirt Driver In LA. If you aren't over 65 you couldn't enter. No way I can beat all these young hot shoes we have at CGB, but maybe I could at least compete in the geriatric group!!! Oh, well, some old fart would find a way to beat me anyway....

Hey, Reggie is not the only one with a Medicare card. It’s tough to be fearless when maturity has crept in on you.
I am starting to think my lap times on the track are going the same way as my running times. Now when I go out to run a race it seems I am not looking at a PR but a PW, personal worst.
Oh well, I am still having fun and will not give it up as long and I can get around the track in the middle pack.
But let me tell you one thing, that little bit of rain yesterday made this old man back off much more than any of the young bucks.
See you all Saturday in the Hippo 280Z car for the LA400. I guess if I am running in a 400 mile race in a $165.00 LeMons car that maturity thing has not had too much effect.

Activity a lot slower than I anticipated but none the less I will give you all something to chew on. The entry fee for the Contest will be $40 per driver with the proceeds being dedicated to wards purchasing the new trans X 3 timing system. Supposedly this system will make everyone faster, oh no I got that wrong, it will tell everyone how fast we all are and make the paddock experience better. It will also give us the capability to have the incar systems receive a signal to make them function, lap times, position in class, etc. Detail #2. Each driver will be participating in their own car to eliminate any complaining about another driver going first and having fresher equipment. The excercises have been set, trophies designed, and schedule drafted. Tell your friends!

Very interesting stuff, Chris, which prompts some questions: After the new equipment is installed, 1. Will the info be visible inside the lounge or will there be an outside display as well? 2. How would you adjust the difference in cars, h.p., classes, etc in order to "level" the playing field, or is it just "run what you brung"?
