Quick Question. I have a friend with a 2000 C stock Miata with a hardtop, Do you require a roll bar for the Solo time trials/lapping day?
Also, I saw 2 places where it said DOT helmet and Snell SA helmet. I have a Snell M 2005 that is DOT too. Will it be ok for the time trials/lapping day?
thanks for the help, Ben

Quick answer-VERY UNofficial, so take this with a grain of salt till you get word from someone who IS official: No rollbar required. But try not to stand the car on its head... ;D

Ben, Your M helmet will be fine to do the solo and lapping day events. Also, If your hardtop is a factory supplied piece, it will be ok for the event as well. Look forwad to seeing you on the 26th.

I really like the lapping sessions most of all, and the lapping precedes the solo timed trials. Lapping lets you go around and around, getting the feel of the car and the track and how they interplay. After you've practiced, you can do the solo runs with more confidence. Best of luck and with My best advice-drive at 90% of your capability, not 110%. You'll have more fun.
