We are! Team "Altimate Annihilation" with a 1995 Nissan Altima. This time it doesn't have a blown head gasket and doesn't have a gaping hole in the side of the block We tested it last Friday - everything worked out very well so far except the tires we have are CHUNKING rubber from them. This is going to be mega fun. Team is: Myself MY younger brother Matt Trent Boudreaux Myles Johnson Jim Tull

I'm in
Team Captain for Gasholes Racing and owner of 555
My second Lemons race, the first for the rest of the Team and the third for the car. '88 Mustang with 4 cylinders and about 80 HP if they all turn up on raceday.
I think we're ready - car has had an oil change since its 15 hours at Summit Point and we've put 4 new tires on it.

Black and Bruised Racing features the infamous 'Crapsman Danger Ranger' sporting a team ranging from young and full of spit (Tim), to old and full of sh-- (Teddy) and a few fifty something old farts (Paul, Gary and Marshal) with just a little of sanity thrown in (Walt).

Well, after two strong performances only to end in a DNF, the Black and Bruised crew brought the Danger Ranger AKA Crapsman Truck past the checkered flag in 7th place in the first true 24 hours of Lemons. There was a 6 1/2 hour stoppage for fog, so I guess history will record the event with an asterik Neve the less there were just about as many strategies as there were cars in the 50 car field, with the strangest and most popular to follow the ' backwards truck'. I hope some one got a picture to post...although it doesn't look as weird in a still shot

You can't really tell he is going backwards from the pics though...

Well we should have replaced the fuel injector plug on #4. 2 hours in it fractured and came unplugged. Ran hours 3 & 4 with the 'miss'. That and our first 2 rookie LeMons drivers picked up a stack of flags .... enough that we sat out till 11. Sent 3rd rookie LeMons driver out, half a lap out the fuel pump quit. crap crap crap. He said that for that half lap it was still down on power.
Drained & dropped the tank, removed the pump and verified that it was dead. Team decided it was dinner time. I told Chris we were out till morning due to the pump. He told me to get tools and get the pump out of 85 and make that pump/motor work in our pick-up assembly. The pump was about a 16th to big to fit down the hole in our tank.
Replaced the pump Sunday morning and we were back in the game. Until the exhaust broke off in front of the collector. 4 pipes to weld instead of 1 ....... Judges said it sounded AWESOME going past their station.
Got that fixed and we're back in the game ...... 555 ran like pretty well now that it had all 80hp instead of 60, had a pump that could keep up and an exhaust pipe that was attached to the car.
Set 3rd fastest lap time of the race (in 208 of our 251), so it could go when everything worked.

Team Whipp-its $165.00 1981 280 ZX
We did OK, 14th overall, still running strong at the end.
We had to bleed the breaks only 5 laps after the start on Saturday and it took 30 minutes, if we had been on track for that time we would have been close to 10th.
Winners margin over second place was nine seconds, that's just crazy.
