Freakin Hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Turned out to be a red bracket style free for all. All of the cars that entered fell into either the red bracket or SM class. It was great to get to run with guys form other groups that I don't get to normally run with, Brent Mosing, Ben Cherbonnier and Kenny C. Dam those guys are relentless. Chasing Brent until he finally cracked took some time, but man is it cool to be chasing an old school 911 on the ragged edge.! Dennis Paul took the pole and never looked back. He benefit ted greatly by the great battles going on behind him to take the race win by almost a half lap. I was fortunate enough to finish second but only after running Brent so hard he had a brain fart and went off going into turn four and eventually finishing fifth. Dennis Gros and I swapped positions at least once a lap for 6 laps in a row until he had a serpentine belt pop going into turn one. ( That's going to look cool on video ) He wound up finishing in the sixth position. Kenny Cangelossi and Ben Cherbonnier battled it out with the front group for a while and wound up crossing the finish line nose to tail in the third and fourth positions respectively. Byron Rome rounded out the field expiring early due to transmission problems. John Barnett, Robert Leonick did not make the field due to mechanicals earlier in the day. Was it hot!, Yes, Was it fun, you bet your a..!

It was so freakin' hot I nearly burned my arm off trying to get out of the door with the car on the trailer. So Chris....., just one group so there's no break out or anything right....? I called your cell the other day but got no connection. Guy in BR has/had five automotive lifts (no drive on type) with arms, all five for $4k. Going out of business....4/5 work fine, one needed a motor I think. We were looking for a few people to go in on the lot and each get 1-2 for $800 a piece. Ping me if interested and I'll check up on it. T

No T, All GCRS Rules still apply, but with the hot slick surface, no on e was getting into the breakout zone. My best lap earlier in the day was a 26.5 and I think DPs best during the race was a mid 26.

Hello Chris, I would like to thank you, and all of the people associated with GBRS, for allowing the karts to come and be part of a warm, but very good day. It had been two years since I had been able to drive against my son, so we went at it many times, only to see youth prevail. I thought we were only lacking grip, but heard the same from others. The surface temp was 142 degrees, even ran a new set of tires, it felt good for four laps, then it was like driving on marbles. We tried to soften up the chassis, more than ever before, and still had problems with grip. Even though it was never really achieved, we did have big smiles on everyone's face at the day's end---- THANKS AGAIN! Dallas Lassalle F125 shifter
