Good. I'm glad y'all got to race. At least somebody got some track time!Only thing I heard going on was Halloween bike fest. Last time I went out there for that was greeted at the gate with "no drag racing tonight but a helluva party"!which was quite a few years ago. I thought this discussion was about wed tnt.

I have no idea what you are talking about Stevieray. What does grudge racing have to do with bracket racing ?? Nothing as far as I am concerned. "We both used to piss and crap in our diapers" WTF? Instead of saying how great you are, why not advertise that your track has new managers, address the concerns of racers and assure them that it is truly no problem and get some cars out there. Guarantee the pay outs, prep the track and treat racers like they are welcome at NPR and soon the pits will be full.

I am a die hard bracket racer who lives between two tracks that have the potential to be the best in the south. But as usual it appears to be the track against the racers. I have been all over racing from Florida to Texas and north to Indy. The best tracks are the ones that the track managers and promoters welcome racers. Our local tracks seem to have employees that are ready to leave as soon as the gates open. Twin Cities Motorsports park is successful because they do what most other tracks don't do. There is no bullshit, rules are the same for everyone and don't get changed week to week. They prep the track completely. They do not spare the VHT !! They pay the money no matter what. They welcome every one from the first timer to the old pro like they are long time friends. They will do whatever it takes to get the race done. Rain ? Dry the track and spray it end to end. Race until the next morning ? Not a problem. I am in no way saying that managing a track is a easy job. Racers can be whiny babies but you run it like most businesses and put your customers first and the rest will follow. What are the first thing racers say about a track when some one asks ? It did not hook or they say I ran 6 rounds for $200. It is simple. Prep the track properly and guarantee the pay out. Let the racers say "I ran my best 60 foot and ET and won all the money !" The pits soon will be full.

I have watched this circus of a post from the beginning, I understand that Stevie ray has taken on a very challenging task, however from reading this post you have done nothing bush bash on guys, your former customers, about how much they raced this season. I'm here to tell you, king of the coast and state Capitol raceway didn't run all summer long, and you did, I like Ronnie Boucher decided to not race rather than to race with you. Nobody that has posted in this thread has been as unprofessional as you have, and your the manager of this business, this speaks volumes to a lot of people following this thread, which has been viewed over 1100 times at this point. You may have noticed that I, Jessie Robinson, 813 in super pro hasn't made a race with you all year. So bash on me as you did Ronnie or you can ask why your car count is down and try to fix that. So if you have made a spectacular change to your program, please let us all know, and remember, you as the manager represent all of NPR as well as yourself.

By the track management not replying and ignoring this serious thread only shows their position. Not a good thing for a business to treat it's customers. These issues will have to be tackled head on in order for NPR to be the elite track that it once was. I for see myself and others to travel to other tracks in 2014 when the one in our own back yard is open. What will it take for NPR to wake up ?

That is the type of place No Problem was when Pat Joffrion was still the owner. Racers were appreciated and put first and above. Races were never rained out without waiting it out first and doing everything they could to get it dry. The owners, management, and staff went above and beyond to make it a great facility and treated every person there with respect. Racers received weekly text messages to let them know what was going on. Management got on the boards and answered questions. I'm not saying that Stevie Ray isn't trying, but it will never be what it was then. Say what you want about Pat, but No Problem and everyone there always felt welcomed and accommodated. That man knew how to run his business. They have cut so much out of the schedule (Bracket EVERY Friday night, test and tune, midnight madness, ect). And no it isn't the economy, it's the way that you run the place. That is why many have turned away. Sadly, the NPR we knew is long gone.

lol this is hilarious that you make up fake names to bash on people
this is better than yellow bullet
1 the track is getting better 2 next year will be better 3 it will take time to get it back to when pat was there, 4 lets quit making up names to say how you feel, 5 just load the wagon and come back and see 6lets be adults be civil and have fun!
hot rod reunion be there!

Stating the truth is not bashing. And I am far from the only person that feels this way. By stating what we feel, we hope that things will start to turn around. Actions are more than words.

I am not hiding behind a fake name. Nor am I bashing anybody. For sure this is not Yellow Bullet. Yellow Bullet is a day care full of dream weavers and wanna be's. I am stating the truth from a bracket racers stand point. You want car count to go up ? Follow what I am suggesting. I am repeating what I experience at other tracks. I travel every month to race some where. I fear no racers. As far loading the wagon and come see, I will do that when I can see a solid business plan from NPR. We don't travel to a race that is not based on a solid platform. Racing and travel to and from a race is expensive. No one wants to race for an undetermined amount of money. When I see guaranteed pay outs, a properly prepped track and racer friendly management I am sure that the pits will once be full again. But I see this forum works about as good as NPR does.

We stopped doing test n tune on Wednesday nights due to low turnout. We ran Wednesday TNTs every Wednesday for two years. After two years of P&L data to look at, there we very few that broke even financially for the Company, so we discontinued it from the schedule. After many people asked us to continue it, we scheduled and posted a Wednesday TNT a month in advance on our web site and calendar. The turnout was small, and the majority of the people who asked for it, did not even show up. As any other business, we can't afford to continue to run a weekly event when each event fails to break even. With that said, now that the weather is getting cooler, we will run an occasional Wednesday night test n tunes with hopes that the car count will increase. Stay tuned to the web site and calendar for updates and new additions to the schedule.
