I thought I was relatively nice when I stuffed you. You shoulda seen the way Lane was fighting to stay ahead of me in the feature. ;D Oh yeah, no problem...., nothing sinister intended in my description, I just wish I had the video. I went as deep as I could there on throttle because I saw that you had a fender inside, then I jammed the brake hard and crossed over to the right behind you because I swear, I thought you weren't going to make that stick.... ;D It's funny.....but I find myself very close to you on track each and every time out so obviously there have been some very close duals there. I probably have a feel for exactly what you will do more than any other driver out there except for maybe Eon and just like I called it way back at last year's Charity Challenge.....you are a very fair but competitive driver and it's always fun to be around you on track. Only you can tell whether the gearing was what helped you or not this time out but I did notice some differences from my vantage point. It looked to me like, where you could make ground on me last time, T2, 3 and up to T4, I got a little breathing room on you there.....where I really put a few cars distance between us last time, T8 & 9, you erased that totally.....and down the straight, I think last time out when you came behind me through T14, you really had no choice but to tuck in and settle for the position whereas this time, you could pull out and get alongside if you really wanted to push the issue. Anyway....good job. Now I have to figure out how to not let you and Carver between the cars I'm trying to run with.... ;D T The jury's definitely still out on the gearing change. My initial impressions are similar to your's, it helped in some areas and hurt in others. The problem from T2 to T4 is if I stay in 3rd I will bounce off the rev limiter a little before I'm ready to lift and brake for 4. I can shift up to 4th but I have to downshift again after a few seconds. Either way I'm not accelerating all the way thru there like i was in 3rd with the old gears. I need to spend some time comparing the data between the 2 setups and see if the new gear ratio results in a net gain. It will be pretty dissappointing if it doesn't. Rebstock obviously finally found a good combination for his setup, so maybe I get some more pointers from him. Driving lessons from him would probably be the best thing I could do! ;D Thanks again for your help with the transmission rebuild.

T Well I tell ya, with all the 944's spinning out of control in the middle of the field it seems like one of them hitting "something" is inevitable. P LOL X the current rate of unemployment dude....! Your bias aint so dormant. See, last race, two 944s spun, both from the front row, at least one from pole position so the "middle of the field" jab is pretty much wasted on just you.... When you have a bracket made up of 75% 944s and there's a spin, chances are......well, you get the idea. Me.....I have never spun and I don't really bother identifying the cars that spin around me....I just avoid 'em. T

Yeah, crazy me.....I guess I've witnessed quite a few incidents involving difference sanctioning bodies where there is multi hour deliberation, call for third party on board video and testimony of nearby uninvolved drivers to decide fault, some that are even reversed months after the fact because every incident is so clear cut and obvious.... T
