Yup...., one thing going for it is originality of the design and that's a big plus given the potential crowd. A lot/most people I'd know would already have the factory offered piece (yep-Porsche made one) or one of the ones you already saw around some of the vendor sites or Ebay and it'd take some kind of obvious difference to coax them into changing over. Exclusivity goes a fair ways among this crowd and I think you have that with this piece because of the physical and visual differences. What's the plan on color....? Natural, anodized, painted.....? Some of the potential buyers have either street cars or high power built up garage/dyno queens and color matching to other accessories would be a plus too. I can get y'all in with at least 1-2 vendors that move a lot of 944 and 944T stuff. I'll PM or email you later. T As of right now, they were going to be black anodized with laser etching, just as shown in the pics. I can see how much custom colors would be, but they would probably only be in a few different variants. Please email or call me later. I'm indisposed from 9-1:30 with breaks every 1.5 hours. I get email the entire time. I've got one on the black car that's aluminum; weighs about 8 oz. What does yours weigh?

PM sent.
Ours should be right at one pound. I don't see how there could be enough metal in an 8oz bracket. I'd like to see it.

T - As much as I love Porsche, I have one also...it weighs a ton. Got it sitting in a box if anyone's interested. There are also two types of belts: 5 rib and 6 rib. T, you may know the reason why, it may have something to do with whether or not you have power steering if I remember right. If you're not sure you can always get the 6 rib and VERY carefully cut it back to 5...had to do that trackside once.

Amend that to 10.7 oz. We would rather keep the extra 2.7 oz than compromise on the current factor of safety. Unless you guys are cutting threads off of your lug-nuts, I can't imagine you'd notice 2.7 oz. Pics of the 944 A/C delete bracket, for those who may be interested in what we are talking about.

I use the factory one personally, no particular reason, just preference for the factory piece because I'm just that way.... ;D That said, I creatively cut away some of the reinforcement that is really unnecessary so I end up with a piece that's as light as you can get one. Andy's piece is top shelf. After seeing every bracket out there that is known, I'd go with this one if I were looking for one now. T

Andy are you selling that? Andy and his partner in 'FG' are. But uh, erm, Andy has been successfully bribed to make yours out of iridium......, one of the most dense and heavy metals known to this earth.... ;D The bright side is, you should be able to counter balance the heavy bracket by placing a half dozen bowling balls on your passenger floor space....
