You hear that, T? BMW Driver's Ed. Come get your Schoolin'!
Actually, one of my favorite instructors will be at the PCA school. You can get with him, as well. He has much to offer.

I might be the only one at the track, unless all of the other mother's give you guys a track pass. On the other hand, they might be glad to get you out of the house, and out of their hair for the day! That might be their Mother's Day gift!

Yes, the second date is mothers day and we are going to figure out something nice for all of the Moms that show up. After seeing Walts wife do so well last time, theres got to be something we can do that will be nice, maybe a free entry for all the moms that register? We'll see and keep you all up to date.

Tech forms, rules, and schedules can be emailed to you by requesting them at info@circuitgrandbayou.com. Is this info available yet? Also, 2 quick questions: 1) Are passengers allowed? 2) About how many 3-lap 'sessions' were people able to get at the first event like this? Thanks Mark

Passengers are NOT allowed. Last time most of the guys and gals got 4 sessions, some got 5. Having one under our belt, we feel we can get cars in and out quicker and increase the run sessions. Thanks for your interest, Chris

2) About how many 3-lap 'sessions' were people able to get at the first event like this? Thanks Mark I thought it was 2 lap sessions? 1 warm-up, 1 hot. Is it 1 warm-up 2 hot and the best of the two hot laps?

Please note the source of the 3 lap information. It is not from an administrator of the event. This source is. You are correct in the number of laps, 1 warm up, one timed and your off getting your time slip from Kent. After that, you can get back in line to do it again. Thanks for your support, should be a great event

Please note the source of the 3 lap information. I guess that'd be me...only reason I said 3 laps was because a co-worker of mine that runs spec miata out there forwarded me this email: From: kentbca@gmail.com [mailto:kentbca@gmail.com] On Behalf Of kent broussard Sent: Wednesday, January 20, 2010 8:36 AM Subject: Solo Time Trials On Sunday, January 31, The Circuit Grand Bayou will be hosting a track day and will run it "SOLO 1" style, meaning up to two cars will be able to be timed in a 3 lap run. Please spread the word that we are opening the track to anyone who wishes to come and test their skills on the full road course. This being our first event of this type, it will be very informal and only the best time of the three laps will be recorded. Again, anyone can participate, rules will be very simple and the safety requirements will be no more than would be needed for an auto cross. An entrant can run as many times as the line will allow. We would like to see this turn into a monthly event and give more people a taste of what we do at the track. Gates open at 11:00 A.M. and the runs will take place from noon until 4:00 P.M. Entry fee is $35.00 per driver and spectators $5.00 at the gate. Circuit Grand Bayou Members are invited to participate for the reduced cost of $20. The Concession stand will be open from 11 - 2. There will be no registration other than at the gate the day of the event. If you have any questions or comments, please email Chris Wilken at chris@circuitgrandbayou.com. We look forward to seeing everyone there! Kent ...I guess the number of laps got changed at some point, sorry about the confusion. Thanks Mark

I'm guessing that the third lap is the cooldown into the paddock.
