I'm certain that would happen with some of the larger organizations, but I thought we were a more tight-knit group focused on fun first, competition second. Rules are rules, however, and no timing is allowed in brackets. Tight knit, friendly and fun sure....... off track. When the green drops, I'll try almost anything to gain a position or two......even against my own kin.... If I thought I could use timing to gain an advantage, and the cars were all checked for electronic timing devices......I'd have a vertical rod fixed in view on the hood with a vinyl sun dial decal.... ;D T T Exactly!

I'll believe that when I start seeing people bump others out of the way. I got a decent look at the other organizations this Summer and I'm not seeing much similarity.

Yesterday I set up a start finish line and splits around a 4 block area. It was cool hearing the lap times and splits coming through the ear buds.
I've setup a kml file (dork for start finish and splits) for our track. I've got the start/finish set for the exit of T14. I want to hear the lap time prior to T1 and figured this is the least distracting part of the track.
I don't like looking at my dash as I'm too old, too skeeered, and can't really read it anyway. I mostly rely on lights for shift points and alarms. I have to squint to see my lap times and it affects the next lap. I'm hoping the audible messages will put an end to the need for a graphical display on the dash.

Well Bob, How did it work under race conditions? Is it a soothing voice when it tells you how fast you are going? Track Side, Carver
