Looking forward to it. Hopefully I won't have to dip into the fresh tire stockpile until next race.

Nitto is an American company, incorporated in California, owned by Toyo. Nitto tires are made in the US of A. Unless there's an ocean I haven't heard about between Cali and Baton Rouge, I'd figure they were probably trucked.... ;D T

This is not a 944 part or 944 Designed Part. This is a tire. This is a picture of the side of the tire, and The picture contains the words that say TERRY SIMON IS WRONG. Spelled like ( Made in Japan) 944 you got. Truck from California to Louisiana is correct though. Tires and set up on my cars I got. Thank you sir. Good day, Carver

OSAKA, JAPAN - June 27, 2005 - Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd. (President: Yoshio Kataoka) will spin off the Nitto brand division of Toyo Tire (USA) Corp., a sales subsidiary, and incorporate it as a separate company, to be called Nitto Tire North America Incorporated, effective July 1, 2005. Carver, Nitto Tire is an American company, no ifs ands or buts. It was created by the Japanese parent company Toyo, a Japanese company. And yes, your tires were trucked from the Nitto manufacturing and distribution center in California. Toyo owns manufacturing plants in Georgia, California, Japan, Netherlands and even China. I know some Toyo tires for truck and passenger vehicles that are made in the USA DO have "made in USA" branded on the side wall, I just verified that with a Toyo dealer that I buy 200 tires from per year but with loopholes in tariffs and the way huge conglomerates cheat the system to keep more of their money, your pack of Nittos might have been made in Guam.... ;D BTW - count your lucky stars that I aint into Nissan 240s or Honda CRXs (if I ever am, will somebody please shoot me... ;D ) because CCM field of cars would be categorically know as "second rate" if I was.... Damn, that's a mistake even an autocrosser wouldn't make. There's a redundancy in there that's pretty obvious. Autocross is already a mistake......kinda like "touch" football. T

I wish the Smite button would actually give him a shock when he defends a position that is obviously wrong.
No company would want to side-step tariffs by mislabeling the manufacturing location. They just pass the cost on to the consumer.

No no Andy, a company in direct competition with several other tire manufacturers, all vying for the same target consumer would NEVER look for a way to shave 10% off their product for a competitive advantage.... Sure, Nitto California, Japan, the Japanese in general....always hire localized American union workers with huge benefit packages...heck, they'll just pass it onto the consumer...... Check a refresher to see how the Japanese and German auto related companies do business in the US. LOL one more more time.....! Are you running for Congress by any chance....? T

Well, I can't argue with that "logic". You win. It's a conspiracy. They definitely aren't made at the same plant as the Toyos.
